Answering Questions About Your Hearing

If you have never worn a hearing aid or are dissatisfied with your current instrument, or if you simply want to know more about hearing and hearing loss, you’ve come to the right place. We strongly believe that a hearing test, a detailed explanation of the test findings and their consequences to you and your lifestyle are essential first steps.

What to Expect At Your First Visit

The first step is discussing your case history with Dr. Pfaff. This process provides Dr. Pfaff with insight into your health and hearing concerns.

Next is a complete hearing evaluation, which only takes about 45 minutes. Your hearing acuity and speech understanding abilities are measured and compared to normal data. These tests allow us to identify the type and degree of your hearing loss. You will then be given a detailed explanation of the findings, and given our recommendations on how to best manage your hearing needs.

If A Hearing Aid Is The Answer

When hearing aids are indicated, we will counsel you on appropriate technologies, styles and instrument options that will best meet your individual hearing needs. All hearing aids are fit on a 60-Day trial basis to insure your satisfaction.
